Outback Kids boast qualified Early Childhood professionals and educators who provide educational learning programs based on children’s interests, strengths, abilities and choice.

Our dedicated team of educators are experienced and understand the importance of extending on children’s home-life experiences. Individual programs are developed for each child in order to assist with and build upon their learning, understanding, communication, self esteem and confidence

Sarah – Group Leader Educator / Nursery

I’m Sarah, and I’m a mother of three grown boys, I have moved around our beautiful country a fair bit over the years and now call Mildura my home. I have wanted to achieve a career in child care and began as an Assistant in a nursery room, and my passion lies with infant care. I have completed my Diploma of Children Services which I’m very proud of.

Sonia – Group Leader Educator / Nursery

Hi my name is Sonia, I hold a Diploma of Childrens Services. I have 3 school aged children, whom keep me very busy. I enjoy working at Outback Kids as a lunch reliever and really look forward to meeting new and existing families.

Dora – Cook

Hi, my name is Dora. I am the cook and I have a passion for cooking and creating new and exciting nutritious menus for the children at the centre. I hold a Diploma in Children’s Services and I work in the rooms of a mornings and whenever I am not in the kitchen. I have worked in childcare for the past 13 years and in my spare time i enjoy spending time with my three beautiful grandsons.

Louise- Diploma Qualified Educator – Toddler One

Hi my name is Louise I have recently completed my Diploma in Children’s Services. I am very passionate about Early Education and the Childcare Industry, I have always felt that this is the career that I was meant to be in since I was very young. I love my job here at Outback Kids especially watching all of the children learn new skills, it makes my day!

Demi – Assistant Educator – Toddler two

Hello my name is Demi, and I grew up locally in Mildura. I currently have my Certificate III in Children Services. I have been working in the Early Education field for approximately four years. I have always enjoyed working with children and seeing them achieve their milestones and I love receiving cuddles from them and developing meaningful relationships with all the children in my care.

Maria – Diploma Qualified Educator

Hi my name is Maria and I have been an Early Childhood Educator for the past 14 years and have loved every minute of it. I have obtained my Diploma in Childrens Services and have worked as a room Leader in change of a room for approximately 4 years under this qualification. I have worked with a range of age groups and enjoy all ages of children.

Nicole – Assistant Educator – Toddler Two

Hi my name is Nicole, this is my first job in the Childcare Industry here at Outback Kids and I am enjoying it thoroughly! I have completed my Certificate III in Children’s Services and have almost completed my Diploma in Children’s Services. I’m learning so much everyday working with children. I believe that it is beneficial to educate young children and I have always enjoyed caring for my nephew and other family members.

Ashlee – Educational Leader – Toddler Three

Hi, my name is Ashlee. I have been working at Outback Kids since the beginning of 2015 after completing a work placement here previously, as part of my Children’s Services studies. I have been in the Pre-Kinder room since February 2015 and have completed my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care at the end of 2015.

Lali- Assistant Educator- Toddler Three

I would like to introduce myself as Lali Augustine. Recently moved from Adelaide. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Certificate III in Children’s Services. I am planning to pursue my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care which will enable me to be more competent and provide better childcare service.

I am Caring, Honest, and Ambitious. Watching children’s faces light up from joy or from learning something new makes me smile. My hobbies and interests are playing badminton and listening to music.

Debbie – Educational Leader- Pre Kinder

Hi I’m Debbie. I’m a mother of four children and I have spent the last 20 years playing a role in the lives of children, whether it has been raising my own or supporting others in Kindergarten settings, sports, School Support Worker and now Long Day Care. Each role helped me to gain knowledge in how children learn and develop. My qualifications include a Certificate III in Children’s Services, Certificate in Teacher’s Aide and a Diploma in Children’s Services. I believe that working with children is a journey which begins in the early years and I enjoy discovering every child’s unique personalities and helping them grow as individuals in a nurturing environment.

Montana – Diploma Qualified Educator – Nursery

Hi, my name is Montana and I currently hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. I started working at Outback Kids in November 2015. During my time at Outback Kids I have loved every minute of getting to know the children and their families and my work colleagues. I have commenced studies on my Diploma of Children’s Services and look forward to getting to know all the children in Pre Kinder and watch them grow and learn.

Molly- Diploma Qualified Educator- Pre Kinder

Hello everyone! My name is Molly, I come from China. I have been in Mildura nearly 3 years and I have been enjoying my time here, studying and working in Mildura. I hold my Diploma in Children Services. I like my job very much, I am glad to be working with such lovely children and educators. Therefore, I will try my best to be a good role model for all children and be a professional educator.

Lauren – Assistant Educator – Pre Kinder

Hey everyone I’m Lauren. I moved to Mildura in 2014 to be closer to my family and friends from Western Australia. I became interested in working in the Children’s Services Industry in my early teens after babysitting for my family and friends. I like to think that I have an outgoing and bubbly personality and look forward to extending my knowledge and understanding of children services whilst working at Outback Kids. I have commenced studies on my Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Melanie- Kindergarten Teacher

Hi, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Melanie and I hold a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education). I am very excited to be the Kindergarten Teacher here at Outback Kids. I have over six years’ experience in the Early Childhood profession and have loved every moment. My aim is for your child to enjoy learning and become confident, ready for transition to school. My teaching and learning experiences promote child engagement, wellbeing, independence, positive relationships, literacy, numeracy, science and exploration, health and physical activities, music and movement, thinking skills and creativity. I encourage and value family feedback and input as it is very important and the most effective way to extend your child’s learning journey.

Ashleagh – Group Leader Educator – Kindergarten

Hi, my name is Ashleagh. I have lived in Mildura my whole life. I currently hold a Diploma in Children’s Services and I have a passion for working with children. I have enjoyed every minute of my time working at Outback Kids.

Kylie – Diploma Qualified Educator –  Toddler 1

Hi my name is Kylie. I am married and have two teenage boys and I have lived in the district for most of my life. I started childcare in 2002 when my children were young. I was a Family Day Care Educator for 11 years before I joined the team here at Outback Kids in February 2013. I believe for a happy and positive care experience children need a loving, caring, happy and safe environment. I also believe that children learn through play and an active learning environment where there is a variety of activities, both structured and free choice play to enhance social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development.

Katie – Assistant Educator – Nursery

Hello my name is Katie. I have a Certificate III in Childrens Services and have almost completed my Diploma of Childrens Services. I have been working in childcare for five years and I really have a passion for working with children. I have raised three boys that are now grown and really enjoy helping children grow and develop .

Kendall – Assistant Educator – Relief Staff

Hello, my name is Kendall and I have a Certificate III in Childrens Services. I am a mum to two young boys and they keep me very busy. I have been working at Outback Kids since 2014 and have had a great time getting to meet all the children and families that attend the service and find the work I do very rewarding and fun.

Karen- Diploma Qualified Educator – Kindergarten

My name is Karen or “Nana Karen” as I am affectionately called by the children at Outback Kids. I have worked in childcare for 17 years and I really enjoy interacting and engaging with children. It still amazes me watching them grow and discover new things but also listening to children talk and socialise is the most fantastic part of my job!

Billy Assistant Educator / Pre Kinder

Hi my name is Billy and I hold a Certificate III in Childrens Services. I’ve been involved with children both professionally and in a supporting role in my own time for 18 years. I have worked in both Long Day Care and After Hours School Care. I have coached and umpired local football, cricket and netball teams also. I have a son at home who i enjoy interacting with and watching him grow, as I enjoy watching the children at Outback Kids grow into little adults. I enjoy football, cricket and soccer and look to bring my love of physical activity and positive attitude to whatever environment I’m in.

Jammi- Assistant Educator – Relief Staff

Hi my name is Jammi. I’ve been working in the childcare industry for around 7 years. In that time i have completed my Certificate III and have almost completed my Diploma. I have two boys who are aged 8 years and 3 years they both keep me very busy.

Annie – Assistant Educator – Toddler Two

Hello my name is Ankita. I am an Assistant Educator in the Kinder room. I have been in the teaching field for the last four years and I hold my Bachelor of Education in the teaching field in my home country of India. I am living in Mildura now for the last year. I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given at Outback Kids as an Assistant Educator. I personally enjoy working with children and I believe children are born of god.
